Have you noticed.....

That when you come up on cars that are dawdling in the fast lane on the freeway, that many of them just move over right away, much more so than when you are in another vehicle? I see this all the time, and I believe that when they see this car come up behind them, if they are paying attention, it looks like it's going to just eat them alive. Even if they don't move over, often a quick flash of the high beams gets them to do so.

On back roads, when I am doing some "spirited driving" I have had cars just pull over to the shoulder without prompting when I come up behind them.

This car has so much presence that people know you want by, and they often yield pretty quickly. I'm loving it!!

You are a lucky person on that! People try to hold me up in the left lane or if I’m in the left lane they speed up in the right lane and don’t want me to pass to get ahead of them. I get really frustrated at times driving but I know how people are now so I expect it!

Especially where we are GA1LE! We are in the same city and have to put up with terrible drivers!

They do that all the time when I am driving my daily driver, and don't get me wrong, drivers in New Mexico suck as much as everywhere else. But that big gaping mouth on the ZL-1, combined with a high closing speed and daytime running lights, gets their attention more often than I would have expected.

I've driven in south Florida. Drivers there are a special kind of stupid.

I’m with the OP.

Folks don’t seem to like the DRLs in their rear view mirrors...

Or they just bow down to the king of the road!

Many even move over for my SS here in Jersey, and I don't tailgate or do anything special. Of course there's always the proverbial lane-hogging Prius and (more often) CR-V, but I did notice that the Camaro commands some respect.

I agree with the OP. I’ve noticed the same thing in my travels. The black hood on the 1LEs adds to the presence these cars have.

Not sure I've ever had an issue with someone speeding up where I cant pass them in my ZL1.

I tend to get a mixed bag when it comes to whether or not people move over. Seems like when I've having some spirited fun people are pretty accommodating. I only drive my ZL1 for fun. I daily either of two jeeps, a 4 door on 40s or a 2 door on 37s. People tend to get out of the way and leave space.

Experience some folks getting the heck out of the way, but not Prius and small SUVs like CRVs. BMW are the worst about staying in the way. Guess they are too busy talking on the phone and sipping lattes.

In South TX the left lane is known as the “take your time, don’t look in your review mirror, go 10 under the speed limit lane.” Pisses me off to no end.
