Why no backup camera or blind spot sensors.

I love the value of the 1le, but I don't want to backup a Camaro with no backup camera. Also no blindspot sensors?

Is Chevey misunderstanding the market?

Back up cameras are standard on all Chevys, including the 1LE.

Edit: I may be incorrect when stating 'all models'. Some of the low end offerings may not be so equipped.

I'd love to have a sunroof....but that seems to be unpossible as an option for a 1LE and that sucks because I love sunroofs.

I'm so happy a fricken sunroof is not offered on the 1LE.

Seems like an option that just doesn't fit the "theme"

Yup, adding weight to the roof is no bueno. Plus then you lose the reverse mohawk...

OP, yes the 1LE's have back up cameras.

Back up cameras are going to be a requirement on all cars sold in the US as of May 2018.

Agreed on liking the low options of the 1LE. I felt like I was odd because my 2014 was a low option 1SS and everyone else had loaded 2SS models with sunroofs.

That's not what this car is meant for.

I love the fact that the 1LE is very narrow focused. It keeps it a little more pure but doesn't necessarily go as far to be as single minded focus as the Z/28. There are different levels of performance with lots of options. If you want a sunroof, a auto trans or more creature comforts but still have the ability to do some occasional track work you have a 2SS. Want something a little more dedicated and track oriented with some heritage behind it you have the 1LE. Want the best of both worlds, there's the ZL1. And eventually you will have your single minded focus performance king, the Z/28. There's give and take in each selection. It just depends where your priorities lay.

I still think a 2SS/1LE would be very popular...

I cannot agree with you more!!!! I just do not understand why there is a 2LT/1LE but not a 2SS/1LE. If you do not want the amenities of a 2SS then simply check off a 1SS instead. Will a 2SS/1LE take away a few ZL1 sales, yes most likely but not from the guys and gals that want to own the top dog 650HP - ZL1.

+1 vote for a 2SS 1LE, or at least an ability to add rear sensors, blind spot, etc.

Whoa!! Wait a minute. How is a sunroof not available on the 1LE? I thought it was a 1SS with an added option for the 1LE? And a sunroof can be added to a 1SS.

From my understanding, the target audience for the 1LE is potential GT350/R buyers, correct? I.e. a very track oriented car with minimal amenities. To me, at least, having it 1SS only makes total sense.

I may be one of the few, but I'm actually thinking of making mine more like the R and doing a rear seat delete, adding a roll bar etc... and I FOR SURE don't want a friggen sunroof.

What exactly is the difference between 1SS and 2SS? Leather? Nav? Blind-spot assist?
