2019 SS 1LE front bumper removal

Hello everyone. Does Anyone have instructions on how to remove the front bumper on a 19 SS 1LE?

Although I have a 2018, I'd be surprised if the attachment method had significantly changed for the new fascia, see this video: https://youtu.be/1e_akyeWMh4

On the topic of Bumper removal. I’m prepping to install my SEMA grille here in a couple weeks once my car is free from storage. Any tips/tricks I should know about?

Not sure about the SS one, but I installed a V6 SEMA grille back then, it was not difficult at all, if a bit time consuming because of all the trim clips and wire hooks. Just take your time and make sure you have a trim removal toolkit.

EDIT: see what the service manual says below for the LT/SS, easy-peasy, they say

Watched the video. Do you absolutely have to remove the GM splitter off the bumper?

No, I did not, I don’t know why he does in the video.

Depends on how you or the dealership installed it. They can be removed as a single unit, but since the bottom bolts are shared between the splitter and the fascia, the splitter will only remain attached if the prescribed rivets or at least the included double sided tape are in place.

I will say, though, that the tape alone might not hold it, you would probably want to have someone help and support the splitter to prevent the tape tearing apart from the bumper. Even if that happens, not the end of the world if you have new 3M VHB tape, it's just a bit messy to fix.

Thank you for the info! Does anyone know the paint code for the front grill section ( upper, lower insert and the middle section where the flow tie located)?

Finally got some time to install my SEMA grille this last weekend. Just washed her up and man what a difference!

To be honest, the front bumper removal wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had some issues disconnecting the light harness (busted my thumb in the process... not a good feeling lol). Other than that, it was a smooth sailing install.

Thank you arpad and to everybody on the forums for the tips
