Question Next "liberator" upgrade, opinions welcome

Hello,

Going to upgrade her, but the principal objective is to "free" the car from her constriction and obtain the power she really can give stock, plus gaining extra HP without doing big mods, just "simple" ones.

We think about:

- Rotofab CAI

- Kooks 1-7/8" headers coated.

- 3" straight pipe catless remaining stock NPP mufflers.

- Griptec LT4 Z06 MKII Pulley 2.31" Hybrid V2

- ltr7ix-11 spark plugs.

- lsa-conversion SC reservoir.

(Elite E2-X already done)

With the proper tune, how many extra whp can we expect with these mods?

Knowing that a SC upgrade is not an option, E85 is not sold in Spain (maximum is E10 mixed with 93 oct) and porting won't be possible too, what other "simple" goodies would you add?

Is a larger TB worth it or is the standard one enough?

Big gulp without bigger TB not needed, isn't it? We don't expect/need 700 whp, so...

Thank you!

I did not know that the forum has become paid and they charge for answering threads, or is that the community has become quite rude or elitist...

I would say 600 whp. Your going to generate heat with that 2.31 pulley and may have timing get pulled during the summer months over there in spain. I would address cooling either by porting SC,Cam,Heads, Interchiller.

I agree Big Gulp is not needed for those mods. I would still upgrade the TB, even it is a modded stock size or a 95mm.

I don't run meth, but it would give you big gains for the cost since e85 isn't available. It would also help keep things cooler when u do the pulley swap.

As far as pulley goes...perhaps do upper and lower. If you do a lower, you wont have to go as aggressive on the upper and less chance of throwing the belt.

TF are you talking about, man? To turn it around, is it now a crime to read threads and not answer questions if someone does not have enough experience with your specific setup and/or planned mods? Just let me know and I'll repent from my grave sin of reading your thread and won't do it again... it's all good, though, I just don't see how your reaction was warranted

If you could port the SC, bigger Tb and big gulp that would be better. If not then your combo should be fine to 610whp.

See if you can get some Boostane to bring octane up a few more numbers. It’ll help.

On another note, some ppl read post and then realize they don’t have an answer. Sometimes is best not to say anything at all if you are not sure. No one know what you are asking until they open the thread. Please be patient with others as you may come off rude.

There’s also literally hundreds of threads describing this very type of information. I’d suggest you research and read some yourself before resorting to your own rudeness.

Dude posts a question on a Saturday night and when he doesn’t get an answer by Sunday morning he’s pissed off. For future reference, people are busy on Sat night and sleep in on Sunday, and today is Valentine’s Day so more family stuff to attend to.

Thank you. If Spain was more used to supercharged and big engines mods, all would be easier, but here if you don’t own a Japanese, French or German car, you are ****ed with the lack of options and professionals.

Done during last 2 weeks, but 99% of mods posted talk about SC swaps, porting mods, meth, e85, etc... mods that I can not do in my car, some because it’s impossible like e85 and some if I don’t want to be requisitioned the car by the police (hard to explain, but in a few words if they stop me can check the engine visually and compare it with the certification report, pics included, I had to pay to let me drive the car here).

Not my intention to be rude, but it’s not the first time I ask something and no answer arrives...

Sometimes it seems here that if you are not from the USA, you are second-class member, and it hurts because we are a little % of people in Spain who defends America, your way of life and products, against a society brainwashed by Soros and their clique partners
