Hey everyone...recently purchased a 2019 ZL1 (6 sp manual) with 7K miles. I live in Scottsdale and have joined the FB group but checking here to see if there is any get together's happening soon in AZ???

Seems like there isn't much of a scene in az... or someone just needs to step up and plan something.

To many car shows closed down due to the ccp crud. Inside I could understand, but outside makes little sense. Anyway, here's two sites to check for car shows and cruise ins...

There is a cars and coffee type cruise in at a local shopping center in the downtown Prescott area on Saturday mornings. There is also a monthly cars and coffee at the Prescott mall.

I know of quite a few Cars & Coffee's that are up and running (Chandler, Scottsdale, etc.). I was just wondering if any Camaro people get together and attend together.

Thanks and like in my post above I am aware of quite a few CnC's going on each month...just seeing if any Camaro people show up.

Member 'Rodan' informed me of the two cars and coffee cruise-in last week. They start early in the morning but I plan to go to the one this coming Saturday. If 'Rodan' shows up, that's at least two ZL1 cars, but the event is open to anyone. There are more ZL1 cars in northern AZ and plenty of hot rodders that miss car shows due to the ccp crud nonsense.

Where's that at? The one in Scottsdale seems it's the first Saturday of the month.

We'll be down in Phx for a track day with ProAutosports at AMP on Dec 12th, though we're not bringing the ZL1. Concentrating on our track car that weekend.

AMP is a great track, but a stock ZL1 won't pass sound there (95db). I had to modify our exhaust to pass.

And I read that the ZL1 won't pass the decibel rules there...hmmm interesting.

Since other AZ folks might read this, here's the solution I came up with for running at AMP:

I cut off the outer tips (all the exhaust passes through the outer tips in track mode) and added V-bands so I could swap the stock tips with 'turn-outs' to redirect the exhaust away from the sound meter.





This was enough to pass sound at AMP on our otherwise stock ZL1. If you're running headers or cat deletes... all bets are off.

We've run with PCA a number of times, including a couple of weeks ago at INDE. They are a great group to run with, and you don't have to be a member.

<--- Gilbert here, satin steel metallic 2019 ZLE. I go to the 1st saturday of the month cars and coffee once in a while, and to the NASA and ProAuto events with my buddies who have ST2 and TT2 prepped cars. Still need to get mine out on track.
