PTM Race mode still cuts power when it doesn't like your drift angle.

I'm a visual person so I made this. I think it's right. Feel free to point out errors
One thing that came up was what was the difference between pressing the TC button once vs twice in Sport mode? One turns off TC and one turns on Competitive mode, which also turns off TC. I'm guessing there is a difference in the ESC tuning? V1.0 - Initial v2.0
Update: Included source spreadsheet.

I will add though that Mode 3 of the E-diff. makes a very markable difference when negotiating tight corners and on/off ramps near the limit. It "pulls" you around the corners a lot better than the other modes and the diff. doesn't lock up and bind as quickly as the other modes. That is the Goldilocks mode of the e-diff. I just wish mode 3 was available in Sport Mode, as I like the sport throttle mapping more for daily driving. Thus, I tend to drive in Track Mode w/ PTM Sport 1 to get the best out of the car handling wise.

May i suggest you modify "short press" to "single press" to avoid any possible confusion? Also, a single press of TC in Track mode engages Competitive Mode, the same as a Double Press in Sport mode. This requires a correction. What is the distinction between Competitive Mode "On" vs "Yes"? On a related note, Competitive Mode as a drive mode is a separate choice from PTM, albeit the latter forms a sub system of PTM "under the covers" electronics wise. But as the drive modes they are 2 distinct systems. Therefore, to avoid confusion, in my OP descriptions i have separated them as 2 distinct user choices (and they are such). FYI Comp Mode, was a predecessor of PTM in older cars. In effect, it offers a reverse choice of PTM: Stabilitrak on, with TC off. Clearly with a drag strip in mind, but not necessarily. Let me know what ya think and happy to bump your table to the OP once we clarify the above et al. Cheers! PS You are correct, Stabilitrak is set to performance mode when in Competitive Mode, or PTM mode. |

It is not the angles it doesnt like (Stabilitrak looks after that, but it is off in PTM Race), but rather loss of rear traction, which makes TC to step in. So...if you want to drift, turn everything off. But then it is 100% up to your talent to keep her shiny side up!

Perhaps even consider not specifying when a system is off (and indicate a blank means off as a default at the bottom, or top of your table), as ons and offs kinda visually blend all together. Just a suggestion. Perhaps try it and see how you like it? The key would be an easy representation of the *differences* between the various user choices, based on what is on. But i cant visualize it without actually looking at your table lol Again, nice work! Cheers! |

Looks good! Can ya pls get rid of that last "short press" pls? Also, the thread you credit cant be launched as it is imbedded into the table image. Perhaps add it below it?
Cheers! PS I assume you have read my OP on page 1 of THIS thread? |
