Such a simple upgrade.

I attached the hook side from a roll of Velcro tap to the net. That way the hooks can just attach to the carpet acts as the “loop”.

Nice yea I tried two kinds of Velcro but it just wasn’t strong enough for my heavy ass iPhone. Lol. I’m not planning on removing it so permanent is ok. Plus it kinda looks factory ish haha!

Yeah you did a good job! So I only used the hook side. I tried using the loop side on the carpet and it kept falling off. So the hooks are going right into the carpet now. Been there for over a year.

Yea I didn’t try direct to the carpet so that may have been my issue. To late now lol! Glad I didn’t spend money on a phone mount. Which I almost did until I seen that part!

Had a busy few weeks. The joys of working from home being quarantined.

I did a full detail exterior and interior.

Outside -
Wash with Dawn with synthetic clay
Polish paint with CarPro Essence Plus
CarPro Eraser wipe down
2 coats of Cquartz UK 3.0 followed by 1 coat of CarPro Gliss
Windows polished with CarPro CeriGlass
Windows coated with 3 coats of Gtechniq G1 ClearVision
Wheels 2 coats of Cquartz UK 3.0 followed by 1 coat of CarPro Gliss
Tires coated in CarPro Perl
Full APC clean of engine bay followed by a coating of CarPro Perl

Interior
Wipe down with APC followed by coating of CarPro Perl

Installed Dynomat in doors and pulled out the back window trim to put foam tape around the edges of the trim that lays flat (speakers go into). This eliminated all rattles from the Bose System.

Installed new Blendmount with new Uniden R7 Radar Detector

New fluid in the rear differential

Oil change and installed the Stahlbus valve

And sadly removed my front splitter because it hits the driveway every single time at the new house.

Last Saturday, added some aux lighting for driving in the dark. I have never thought the headlights on this car were real great at night. When I turn the brights on, all it really does is make the signs on the road reflect brighter, doesn't seem to actually improve distant amount of illumination. And out to the sides of the road- is kinda terrible.

Changed out the stock brake fluid to Brembo HRC 64T to track the car next week for the first time.

I couldn't find any center caps I liked for the stock wheels that weren't stupidly overpriced for 4 center caps, or that had bad reviews about paint chipping or that they didn't fit the stock SS wheels. So, I made (painted, sanded, etc.) my OEM ones. I added part of my thumb in the pic to show the gloss finish, which match my wheels.

After waiting 10 months for Vitesse to get back to me about the problems I was having with their throttle controller, I decided to give a Pedal Commander controller a go.

Ordered it Sunday night, received it today, installed in 10 minutes, no calibration required.

I had forgotten how completely differently these cars drive with the go-pedal tuned up!

Stopped by the old job and took some photos. Grateful to have worked at Laguna Seca before becoming Executive Director of a local nonprofit.
