As for the lack of crispness for the SS 1LE, I've not driven one, however I do know the regular Camaro SS was the 2016 Motortrend car of the year and they all said it was great. I imagine you must like a really stiff ride I like my cars stiff too. My only complaint with the ZL1 1LE is when there are the big bumps that lift you out of your seat. On my daily commute, there is 2 of these bumps on the way home and its on the freeway so I can't really slow down and I can't really dodge it as its across the entire freeway. So twice a day my behind catches air Small price to pay really

My SS 1LE with just the ZL1 1LE solid rear cradle bushings is soooo much more capable than my M3 was. The MRC is pretty awesome and is WAY smoother than the Ohlins. The only place that the Ohlins shined over the MRC is how quickly they recover in the triple digit speed stuff. I would imagine that the DSSV's have that same quickness to them as my Ohlins did when compared to MRC.

IMO, the SS, including 1LE version, is more a GT car, the ZLE is the sports car version. SS 1LE is like a cheaper Aston Vantage. My last car was a STi, the 1LE rides much smoother and tour mode takes the edge off of impacts much better. |

if you do what I did and add the ZL1 1LE rear solid cradle bushings, then you get the best of both worlds. I can tell you having made that swap, it makes a HUGE difference, but still keeps it daily driver friendly.

I was checking it out while changing diff fluid, now I see how it's a 10 hour job. Tons of crap to take apart. Ugh...

It really makes it a different car in the corners and in quick transitions. It's laser sharp and you do not need to make minute steering corrections mid-corner now due to rear-end sway. Transition maneuvers are now very controlled. I can take a 90 to 100MPH sweeper now one handled with no drama. If you are not a track rat and NEED the ZL1 1LE, it is a great , much cheaper option to get the SS 1LE and do the swap. It is the perfect daily driver with still stellar track capabilities. Now, if it was only a weekend car and I had a daily commuter, I would say ZL1 1LE without a second thought, but for dual duty, it's hard to beat.

KW V3s..!! I havent had them on a Camaro but did have them on a Mustang.. they are incredible! Its my understanding that someone else on this forum has them on a ZL1 seems to like them a lot.. Ride is insanely compliant, smooth, handling is amazing.. this is coming from a company that takes several seconds off 911s on track

I've not driven a SS 1LE but I'm guessing the MagRide is very similar to the MagRide in my 2015 ZL1, 2017 Grand Sport and 2017 Z06 -- I really really appreciated the MagRide. IMO the 2017 Z06 w/ Z07 package was the best all around, it was comfortable but stiff enough to be an excellent handling car. I'd guess the Grand Sport w/ Z07 package would have been even better but my Grand Sport didn't have the Z07 package. The ZL1 1LE is an equally well handling car but to achieve that level it sacraficed comfort.
