ZL1 Radio Options
Forgive me if this is posted somewhere in the section and if so just point me in the right direction.
I was looking at the radio Audio/Radio options for the ZL1 and I see one has navigation and one doesn’t. Is that the only difference between the 2? I typically use Apple Car Play for my Navigation so don’t think I would need the upgrade of $495 if that Navigation is the only difference. Thanks for any clarity. By the way I am asking because I am currently deployed overseas and building me one with my local dealer to purchase and pickup when I get home, and that’s the only question I had. |

Yes, but you can get PDR with or without Nav.
My car has PDR and does not have Nav.

My ZL1 has Nav and PDR! Never tried my PDR yet though.

Use Apple Car Play and save yourself the money on the navigation. The navigation software on phones is far superior!

I don't think screen sizes changed with or without Nav or PDR, or did they lol?

If I’m not mistaken the Nav unit has a 8 inch screen and the regular unit has a 7 inch screen.

I believe both nav and non nav screens for all years is 8" for the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE. Maybe in other models, they have a smaller screen.
I am staying away from navigation options from car makers because your phone does it better and you don't have to spend $100 or more every year to update it. Hell, you can go buy a Garmin GPS for well under $100 and they give you free lifetime map upgrades. |

I've always had Nav in the Camaro but in other GM cars when you delete Nav you lose screen size and/or upgraded speaker system etc. Quote:
