Camaro problem

I drive a 17 Maro and just today driving on the turnpike/highway I felt my car moving too much to the sides. It felt pretty dangerous so I had to drive slower at around 60mph. It only happens in high speeds. The steering wheel moves to the side, but even when I hold the steering wheel the tires feel like they are moving me to the sides. Any ideas what this can be

grooves in the highway? wide tires on concrete type highway with the grooves that run parrallel with the lane can do this.

I've been driving in the same highway for months. Just last week I felt a little bit of moving. But today it was really noticeable, I couldn't drive at 70mph+ it felt too dangerous.

Check tire pressure, tire condition, and lug bolts. Then, to the dealer.

Agree with above that tires are first thing to check.
What you are describing sounds like torque steer. In a RWD drive car that could mean rear suspension components are worn/damaged.
Can you also post more detailed description of your car? Turbo-4... but any mods, etc.?

Hi fairly new to the camaro here myself but for the pontiac g8 that i had the sway bar would cause this issue or the lower control arms.... just to things to look at if you haven't yet. Just check to see if they are still good solid pieces that give no play, if any of them do give play or are not sold replace or tighten down.

It's probably just retaliating from being called a 'Maro'

I had that happen once when the after market trailing arm bushings failed. It was definitely scary and strange enough it only showed it's ugly head in the rain. I changed them back to the stock and the issue cleared up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Are you in south Florida? It’s been really windy here the last week. I’ve noticed it driving on the highway as well. I’m in a loaner Camaro right now as I’m getting the “new shudder fix” done and it’s also swaying in the wind
