McKees turbo dryer
Hey guys I just wanted to share my experience with this car dryer for anyone that's interested. I always wanted a car dryer but the metro master blaster is just to expensive. I decided on this unit over the traditional leaf blower because this comes with a long flexible hose, different attachments, and the air it blows is filtered. It's made by shopvac and seems to be a very well built piece. It also had plenty of power to dry my car with ease. I picked it up from autogeek. It sells for $179 and I got it during there 20% off sale so ended up paying around $145 for it. For you guys that are interested in blow drying your cars give it a look

Metro makes a blower in this same price range. Glad you're happy with it, though.
How's the noise? |

The metro blowers I saw start at $399 there were small ones in a similar price range but there for motorcycles. The noise is pretty good. About the same as a vacuum cleaner

The master blaster (8hp) starts @ $350. They have a 4hp version that's $200.
Either way you're happy with what ya got so whatever. |

The Metro Vac Master Blaster Sidekick is amazing. I know the title says motorcycle, but this thing has a lot of power and it's blowing heated filtered air.
I use it primarily for grills, cracks, mirrors, door handles, headlights and taillights, but you could dry your whole car if you wanted to. Definitely worth the $75 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...edca43a5da862b |

Yes I use it for the whole car. It's definitely powerful enough. That's why I went with this over the master blaster because to get something with the same amount of power from master blaster it was like double the price. The air isn't heated but it is filtered.

You can have a decent air compressor for the price of those things and it does more than blow dry your car

I would pay money to see anyone blow dry a car with an air compressor! Let alone with a compressor that cost under $150 lol

Guess you haven't been around that much then, as lots of folks do it. All air compressors don't have to bought new you know. Most people will use 100% cotton towels dedicated for just drying their car and only use forced ait to get the water out of the tight spots. But you are clearly some kind of genius, so do it your way.

Same with an air compressor as far as I know. I would never drag the hose across the car. Just saying kill 2 birds with one stone. I think the electric blower is a good option for people without the space for a compressor though. And if you want to be completely touchless. I mean I like my car to look nice, but it isn't a half-million dollar collectable.
