I did the rock guards at about 1200 miles but 27,000 miles from two sets of Goodyears did their best.
Car now has +64k miles. Swapping to the Conti's earlier would have helped had I known they would have been such difference in paint abuse. You could hear, hot or cold, the Goodyears just throwing everything in their path right at the sides of the car. That being said, the Goodyears are excellent in response and warm weather grip, and would be the tire I would use on the track.

Very nice car, another v6 to v8 jumper here myself and it’s a grand time.
Apart of the rock chips narrative, I bought my car with aftermarket side skirts and even the PPF from factory at the rear end of the rockers yet there’s now rock chips there higher up from the PPF. Rock guards are an absolute with these tires 100% If you don’t mind me asking, what dash cam did you go with? I had AUKEY before and that was a huge let down when I needed it the most, my next option is VIOFO and from what I’ve read it’s what AUKEY essentially copied but slightly more expensive with the pro of an actual company behind it with updates
