Did it Again

Three years ago, I ordered a 2010 2SS/RS without test driving or even seeing one for real (except the concept in Montreal). I just wanted the 426hp and nothing was going to get in my way. Four months later in November 2010 the car is in... simply beautiful, powerful and everything i expected

Being a Sailor, I just spent two months navigating the Great lakes in consort with the USS De Wert as part of the commemorative war of 1812, awesome deployment 14 port vsits and three in the US (Buffalo, Toledo and Milwaukee) I had a great time but guess what i did while sailing in between ports... yes I spent it reading and admiring the ZL1...

Now back home... three days after.. I find myself at the same dealership doing the exact same thing... yes! ordering a car that I never test drove or even saw in real that is a 2013 ZL1 IOM 6M CF insert with bright wheels on order. Now the waiting game is on... again...

To those that traded in their 2010 SS for ZL1... how different is the driving experience between both.

It's been more than a year since I have been here, the ZL1 I had ordered back in fall 2012 had to be cancel because the dealership I dealt with couldn't get an allocation. Disappointed and wanting a new toy , I decided to give the 2013 Mustang GT a try.. well after only 4000km I wanted out of the Mustang, the rear live axle is simply and car is .

So, traded in the mustang for what I should have waited for in the first place, a 2014 Red Hot ZL1 Now the wait has started once more, at least this time it's a sure thing

I am back to my first love a Camaro

I kept my 2011 ss and bought the ZL1 and it's a whole different animal.. Just one awesome beast is all I can say. Inferno orange with carbon fiber hood, microfiber interior upgrade and polished wheels.

That's not a bad thing! If you can swing a ZL1, get it!

I traded a 2011 2SS/RS M6 Vert for a 2013 M6 ZL1 Vert.

It's a WHOLE different car.

And in a VERY awesome way...

I picked up a 2010 1SS Red Manual and had it for a year and traded it for a truck. I just picked up a ZL1 a week ago today. Completely different car and I love it. Go for it!

I kept my SS and replaced the 2LT, and all I can say is the perma-grin just got a whole lot bigger. I almost feel let down driving the SS now. Also a tank of gas in the SS last me about 3 weeks now ...

I'm holding back big time. In fact, I won't even step foot in a Chevy dealership because if I look at one I will be even more compelled to buy it. You all enjoy that car, I'm jealous!

I see all of you who traded in your SS having a hard time drawing a comparison. I traded in my 2LT...

The car is just unbelievably good.

I did the same exact thing when I ordered my SS back in early 2009, I had never saw one in person but being the Camaro lover I am I knew I had to a have a new SS and hopefully like you I will be doing the same with a new ZL1
