Internal Cabin Temperature Sensor

Have a ‘15 Green Flash, I would assume there is an internal sensor hooked into to the AC system.
Where is it?
Yes, I know about the one outside.
Thanks!!

So nobody knows anything about this sensor?
My Climate control is weird. With heat on, it blows hot on the right side but not on the left, just regular cool air.
I was told by a shop that my compressor needs replacing also because my A/C is weak but fully charged.
They said the blend door is fine.
Any comments or observations?
Anybody at all? Bueller????

How did they confirm that the blend door is fine, because it sounds like you may have the makings of a broken blend door.

They said that they listened to it cycle and did not hear anything weird.
No crunching noises or anything.
How else can you check it without ripping it apart?

If the temps dont change both sides its broken. Common issue on these cars. issue really is caused by running max speed on the fan and changing the temps. the cheap design on the plastic gives way causing the inability to change temps.

No crunching noises could just mean it’s all the way broke.

Some reading for you.

I ordered the heater hose bypass.
Today, turned it on. Crazy hot air right side, cool air left side.
Hoping the bypass helps, I don’t need heat here in Florida.

There is a temperature sensor located near the front passenger side footwell slightly above where the passengers left foot would rest near the center console. Quarter turn to the left and you can slide it out and insert a bore scope and cycle the heat/cold knob and actually see if the door is there and functioning properly. Mine had broken and fallen down into the housing. I had the same issues as you described. The actuator was still working and making noise but nothing was attached to it. I don't have faith in your shops audible diagnosis but I do have faith in being able to visually inspect it. It takes less than 5 minutes to check this yourself. Search youtube there is a good video there to help.

Thanks! For now I clamped the heater line shut and I have good AC again! I have a bypass ‘u’ hose if I can get at the back hose clamp.
I live in FL and don’t need heat anyways.
