I'm in the same boat. I live in SoCal, checking nationally for a Hot Wheels 2SS, looking to trade in my '16 all black 2SS. The Hot Wheels edition came out, and I was instantly in love, for obvious reasons (see sig picture)

Dealers I've contacted have had no interest in haggling to get rid of theirs. It's doable for me if they just wiggle a little on the price. Got solid credit history and everything.

Kinda one of those things where don't complain that you can't sell them when you're not willing to make a deal.

Dang it. I finally decided I liked the look of the 18's better and was going to drive down and look at that blue one, but looks like its gone. So is the loaded red one by the coast. They still have the one right down the street and it sounds like they want to come down in price to about what I wanted payment wise. It does look sharp, but IDK, I really wanted different color interior this time and it has some scuff marks on the kick panel and bottom of the door. I know, minor but mine had those too they were supposed to fix, but never did. Maybe it would be better to at least drive a 19 or wait and see what the 20's will look like. But if those look better, then I would likely have to wait until next early year to get a decent discount.

Yes, you did pretty good. There were a few deals @ 20% but depended upon the dealership.

@Mpsmith1

Were you able to snag a ZL1 before the end of the sale today. We messaged a while ago about the closest ones left in the STL area.

I found a couple 18's left listed at around 18% off. There is a hyper blue with grey seats, NAV and active exhaust for 38k, but its about a 5 hour drive. I don't know if I should go check it out or wait awhile and maybe get a 19? Some people on other sites are saying stay away from the A8 as they have a history of shudder problems, but I'm thinking the later ones should be fixed or at least they would be under warranty.

I would reach out to the dealer to see if the 0% for 72 months can be combined with the current discounted price. You might be pleasantly surprised right now.

That's what I thought about the financing. When I was looking for my current mustang a few years ago, I drove to numerous dealerships that had "sales" and ended up just going with Truecar and the 0% for 72 month special at the time. That is one of the reasons I'm hesitant to get another car (unless I can find an awesome deal). Any extra I pay each month goes right to principal.

Whats up with these dealers? I hope its a mistake, but I just got an email from the one I was thinking of driving up to look at saying the price would be about 46k. This is for an 18 2SS with MSRP right around 48k and it says right on their web page sale price of 38k. Although it does say special value price 46k and then trade assistance -2k, lease loyalty -500 and cash allowance -5.5k. I don't know where the 15% off comes in that Chevy advertises, but if it came out to no more than 38.5k I might be tempted to do it. I mean its technically almost a 2 year old model and most likely only worth low 30's once you drive it off the lot.

I would start looking for another vehicle/dealer. You should be able to find something like the deal below. This one is for a 2018 HotWheels model which is a 2SS.

I can connect you to a friend a this dealership if needed.

You have to do your leg work to get the killer deals.
I went to Wisconsin to get mine from FL.
