No matter how many times I look at it, I just can't begin to fathom WHAT THE HELL design engineers at Chevrolet were smoking when they thought this looked like a good idea.

Worst. Refresh. EVER.

Thank god I got my '18.

They took an existing design and tried to morph it into the hot trend right now of massive grilles and blacked out bumpers. From that perspective, they did ok. However, that trend across the board is not very appealing; for any of the manufacturers. Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Dodge, Audi, Ford, all have some ugliness going on.

If we are going in that route, You're right, and seems that some people really don't like that. But oddly enough, this trend is what's selling right now, and they are in succes with it

I have been getting heat on this very subject and I agree with you 150%. Just think someone somewhere in GM design heaven said "yes this looks great and better than what we had"

How do you feel about all the people who hated on the 6th gen when it first came out , and still do , and said it looks like a Camry? I think the 6th gen at reveal took more heat then this refresh , by far .

why something that’s really ugly is considered hate? Hate for who or for what? Being ugly? Yes!

It sounds like you haven't been around Camaros long , go look at a 1973 Z28 then a 1974 Z28 let me know how you feel about that refresh .

And in a funny twist..the 74-81 Camaro's are taking off in popularity like a rocket..after being "kind of trash" for two decades.

Chevy had to implement 5 mph impact front bumpers on the 74 Camaro. Want to see a worse job done? Check out the 70 thru 72 Chevelle front vs. the 73. Horrid and the end of the SS Chevelle in 73. I picked up a sales brochure while in high school in 72 and I and my friends comment on the new 73 styling was, "Well, if you get it in the right color it might look good". Read this comment on this board lately? The more things change, the more they stay the same. I expect 19 SS sales to fall, but other 19 Camaro model sales to stay about the same.
