XPel Paint Protector

Now that the car is broken in I want to have a paint protector applied before I track the car. What are the going rates to do the front, hood, fenders and mirrors? I got a quote from a local shop, but I'm curious what others have paid.

Full front fenders or just the first quarter of the front fender makes a big difference. I think its 1600$ here.

Full front fenders. I think I will have the black done along the rocker panels as well. They tend to get kicked a lot as people get in/out of the car. My quote so far is $2100, but not sure if that is reasonable. They've done them before and say the front is a pain in the ass...which I can believe.

Don't forget to do the rockers and doors up to the body line and around the rear wheels.

All of that was done to my car before I bought it. Seller said it was over $1500. Looking at these prices, it looks like he/I got a good deal. When I drive over any road small sandy/gravely road repair pot holes and hear the gravel that's thrown up, it sounds very much like whatever the cost, it's worth it if you like your paint job. The OEM tires pick up everything and toss it everywhere. I'm going to install gravel guards as well.

Yeah good point. The ACS guards are pricey at a Benjy per corner, but I've seen them in person they are stout enough for the track. Cheaper than replacing PPF and paint.

I just had the front clip done in Xpel--bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors (matte wrap on hood in clear stealth). The highest rated installers in LA are charging ~$2000 for front clip. You can get it cheaper but these guys are 10 minutes from my house so worth a little extra, and they've done a few La Ferraris, 918s, P1, Koenigsegg, Pagani, Chiron. Helped build confidence they could do a Camaro. If you like exotics, check out their Instagram gallery:

Yeah I am having some panels added to the bulge out by the rear tire for sure not doing the full fender, front half maybe less than half..Cquartz coating minimal paint prep since its new off the showroom floor never ben in the weather I think its going to be 2500$. Paint prep could be a big one depending on the age of the car. We found 2 scratches that will need work before the film....no xtra charge for scratches from the dealer

I had the full front-end covered in Suntek film for $1895. This included the front bumper, hood (including exposed CF insert), full fenders, and mirrors. The side rockers were another $395, and the rear wheel impact area was another $100. I eventually had the entire rear-end covered in film, which if I remember correctly, cost me $700.

Well worth getting the rear-end done, especially if you track the car. The ZL1 throws a lot road debris all over the back-end during normal driving. I can only imagine what the amount would be after a couple track sessions.
