So I had a tire go down at the track this past weekend and when it went down the debris ate the wheel liner and got into the wire harness on the drivers side rear. I opened it up and it appears there is a second bundle wrapped inside the first. None of the exposed wires from the first bundle are damaged and the car was not giving me any electrical issues. The second bundle appears to have the black fabric tape and then a foil wrap around it. The black tape and foil wrap appear to be slightly worn but nothin was cut and I have not dug into it further until I found out what the second bundle is made up of. Anyone got any info on it and weather I should dig deeper looking for any damage? A couple pics of the bundles and the offending tire.
