I suspected as much. I knew he had the prototype CAI on the car back in the summer at Camarofest and people usually don't remove mods once they're installed unless they're replacing it with another one or selling the car, so they go back to stock and sell the mods separate to get more money.

Based on my last 2 trips to the track with the scenarios I was in, I can guarantee there's an 11.0 in my car. I'm also pretty confident I can get a 10 out of it. It might be a 10.99, but I think it will do it in good air, track prep, and no driver mistakes. Of course nothing I say really matters until I prove it. I was hoping to head back to Bowling Green this Saturday and try to make it happen, but it sounds like the track may be off limits. If so, I'll still give it a shot at my local track. Unfortunately I'll be losing out on about 500' of lower elevation and typically better track prep between the 2 tracks.

When I ran 11.10 the air was 1300ft I think so there was room there. Other than that I think the track was as good as it ever has been. But that was with a cai and stock tires.

So you're saying the part that twisted in this photo is only 2.5"? If so, that's nuts! I figured that part would be 3.5 or 4". I was thinking the slimmest section near the end was what you were saying is 2.5, and it seems like I've seen that part twisted completely in two, and it was solid, but I can't remember for sure.

That's an awesome time for basically a stock car. I don't remember what your 60' was on that pass, or if you even told us, but 0 to -DA would definitely get you right at a 10.

It is no doubt a very impressive et, especially on street tires. The only thing that will hold these cars back from getting into the 10s is torque management. Just compare the times between cars that hook, and those that don't have very good 60' times and you'll see what I mean. It really is a crap shoot when trying to launches these cars, while trying to stay out of that window that holds the car when it hooks too well.

Dave, Since that run I have done headers, removed cats, throttle body and lower balancer and pulley. Talked with mike at vengeance racing and he did a mail order tune for me and the car is a beast now!! No dyno but I bet it picked up almost 100hp. If the tires are not hot it will spin the tires at 60 when it shifts down at wot lol. I am betting it goes mid tens at around 133 with some drag radials.

Cant wait for drags next year. My 20 year old son ran the car several times last year at the Friday night drags and would walk around the pits looking for hellcats to call out. He smoked a hellcat on drag radials one night lol. He felt 20 feet tall sporting that bad boy zl1 around the pits!!

Yeah that section of the Hellcat DS is 2.25 inches LOL. It's too light weight to be solid. I'll get a picture posted up this weekend of the stock and upgraded one side by side and it's nuts. Upgrade is 4" with a big beefy u-joint at the diff end. Dead smooth up to 150MPH and no noises or anything, can't even tell it's upgraded when driving the car.

Yeah. That's crazy for the weight and power of that car. I know I'd definitely sleep better knowing it’s swapped for what it should've came with. Glad it's working out for you.

Steve, I cannot wait to see how she runs now. That sounds like a mods list I may be interested in duplicating in the future .
