Well at least you got it documented. And good idea on leaving it stock till the warranty expires. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for this thread, mine makes a similar noise, although not as loud. Definetly louder on the driver's side.

So, did the dealer replace your fuel pump? Or is it just normal operating noise?

Its normal... It sounds exactly like the fuel line clacking noise that intermittently comes and goes when warming up. All these cars do it, some don't notice it until the newness of the cars wears off and you start to notice all the little things.

Dealer told me not to worry until check engine light comes on

Edit: just read it only does it when your car is hot, opposite for me

normal, probably the fuel pump. Mine does it too. I have a thread on here that acts as a engine sound database, go there to hear some failing lifters on these motors.

Thank you all for your responses, certainly makes me feel a bit more comfortable about the noise.

The dealer did nothing about this noise, told me it was normal. I just hope it is.

Any under hood vids? This one sounds different than the others and not like my lifter tick. I'm thinking yours sounds like an exhaust leak

I've had three C7s and two 6th Gens and they've all made this tick. It's the DI, and as irritating as it sounds, it is normal.

lifter noise

OK Here we go, my maro 2018 1SS 12k has an off and on noise at idel , mostly when hot, (full op temp) So i get all worried and then it goes away. My dealer puit the TSB in the car , that did nothing , and compaired it to a new SS and said "no diff" So now what? I hear it I dont, at idel and at 900 rpms. No engine mods, except corvett muffs.

What are corvette muffs? Mufflers? If so how did you get the to fit on the camaro?

High Side Fuel Pump is in the back of the valley plate (VLOM).
