11whp at peak I can believe. 25wtq+ across nearly the entire curve seems optimistic, but maybe the stock intake is just THAT horrible. Thanks for making a quality product that keeps the warranty intact!

Okay...so serious question..

The gains are great, obviously...but is it just me or does the LT1 start losing power pretty early? It looks like it peaks at about 5,500 RPM and starts dropping pretty quick from there. Torque is good, but it starts plunging really fast past about 5,300 RPM.

Would this be a limitation of the intake manifold? If so, perhaps this in combination with the AirForce IM from MSD might help the power fade?

I looked on their site but it's not listed yet, wonder when we can order?

Also this doesn't use a tune and isn't supposed to void your warranty according to the article. The gains would be even greater with a tune.

Wondering why the GM one supposedly comes with a tune and this does not need a tune...

Without logs from the before/after runs it is not possible to conclude that this is all coming from improved airflow. I'd be really interested in seeing the MAF, AFR and timing data.

Yeah, which makes me wonder much more improved the GM one might be.

100% agreed! The stock intake data is somewhere on the forum though which we could use as a baseline.

GM claims a 17% increase in flow...

Granted we don't really know what the base flow is though, right?

Are we really sure the GM intake comes with a tune? The two intakes look very similar.

Here's a baseless shallow perspective: the CAI model looks the best. Which is the primary buying reason for me......LOL

Correct. The LT4 fuel setup can flow more fuel but it doesn't mean putting it on my stock LT1 is going to net me more power.

I am trying to find the post regarding the stock intake but no luck. Should've bookmarked it. A vendor here did do good research on it with numbers and all. So we could guess what the 17% is but at the same time, without having the same car, same dyno, same conditions we cannot prove a comparison. Since C.A.I intake we got a claim of 11 rwhp and 27 rwtq with NO tune, 17% does seem rather low to me as those power are high. Another company on the C7 claimed 42% increase over stock which is great but the numbers were 18 rwhp / 22 rwtq. Same engine, different car though.

Either way, I am looking forward to pitting some intakes against each others. My idea was doing GM vs AFE since GM one is pretty much the C.A.I one as no such similar/same things can be a coincidence. Maybe do C.A.I vs GM vs AFE but like I said... No way it's a coincidence that they look and cost the same... Please do not get me wrong, I am not trying to discredit ANY company nor product here... I think they are all badass and damn happy to all the progress and info! This of my approach as an objective scientific way and this is topic is my test subject

As for the goal of this whole thing for me is efficiency, the icing on the cake is the power. Better breathing car = smoother power and longevity.
