GM does not build many 1LE SS Camaro's 1517 for 2017. Looking forward to the 2018 numbers.

Looking forward to the 2018 numbers

Can someone tell me what the difference is between, Man-A1y and Man&A1y. It can be found on the Krypton volume breakdown page. Thanks.

That's the manufacturer code for the 1LE track package for the SS. Man-A1y is manual minus the track package. Man&A1y is manual and the track package. A1x is for the V6.

The SS trim level sells relatively well. I wonder why they are trying to kill it with the fugly refresh.

New to the site saying hello with a production question

Hello to all,
Love this site! Treasure chest full of knowledge. My wife and I bought a mint (2,400 miles) red 2017 RS (2 LT) drop top a few weeks ago and LOVE it. We really wanted a SS but our finances wouldn't allow it. The 3.6 won't win many drag races but it is surprisingly quick and that exhaust sound is so sweet.
My question is about a new 2017 Camaro RS we test drove before buying our car. It was a RS, 50th anniversary edition, white with black rally strips, 2 LT with a 4 cyl. turbo and automatic.
I'm thinking this is a fairly low volume car but my wife disagrees. Any ideas folks? Thanks everyone! JD

First of all, and have a great evening
It'd be 1 of 42 based only on trim, engine and trans. I haven't seen exact data on color vs option splits, but white represents 13.72% of total 2017 sales, so extrapolating yields 1 of 6. Given this is a vert, it should definitely not be any worse than that

Since this is a white car, it does not have the H50 option. Those cars are only Nightfall Gray Metallic. The numbers (42) in the top part of the chart only apply to the NGM painted models with orange stripe kit and the specific option wheels and orange “Fifty” Brembos that are all part of the H50 option. All 2017s are “50th Anniversary” cars, but only the NGM H50 cars are 50th Anniversary Editions. Not confusing at all, right?

Hah, I stand corrected. I thought more colors were available as H50. Thanks Martin for the info, your posts are always worth a good read

Thank you guys. Yes, all 2017 models are 50th Anniversary models and my confusion stems mostly from the dealer stating it was a "special 50th anniversary car" when in reality it isn't. They probably didn't know the facts either. 1 of 42 is still a low number car and with the factory installed rally stripes, I'm thinking the numbers will be lower. Thanks again!

Assuming here because totals on the 2017 verts (all trims) are unknown ...

If 12% of all 2017's were verts, and we already know that
11435/83348 = 13.7% were GAZ Summit White, and
12326/83347 = 14.8% were 2LT, then

Then there were ~203 Summit White 2LT verts built (+/- a few %) and your car is a ~1:200 car.

If you want to get the best build # knowledge, a polite request to GMHC@GM.com with your vin# will get you all they are able to share. They almost certainly will not be able to tell you how many had the stripe options but they may share the # of 2LT verts produced.

Emailing a similar request to socialmedia@gm.com will get you a build sheet, but they do not have production #s.

2018 ZL1 Production Numbers

Hello All,

I used to have a 2016 2SS HyperBlue Camaro, I now have a 2018 ZL1 Hyper Blue Camaro. Are the production numbers that Mr. W sent available now for the 2018 Camaro's? I tried contacting GM and have heard nothing back. Someone chatted with me from GM and said that in 2018 6,164 ZL1's were produced, of them 3572 had the 10 Speed Transmission and 1,060 ZL1's were Hyper Blue. Total Camaro's built were 67,676. They did not provide any more breakdown than that.
