JMS Boost a Pump Max Voltage?
What is everyone running as a max voltage for the JMS boost a pump? I keep seeing people toss around 17.47V, but I saw an old thread from parish that said he was running 21.5v with no problems.
I was wondering if there is a reason people aren't going over 17.47V (longevity, cavitation, heat etc?) |

I'm set at 17.4 but it was done with engine running and making sure it was actively charging battery to try to simulate max input voltage (aka shouldn't ever go higher). No issues.

Not sure what you mean by max power? Even with the voltage booster, one in-tank pump doesn’t support “max” power IMO. I’ve got a bigger custom in tank pump (DW400) and am still out of gas at 1K engine HP on 93 only. Multiple in-tank pumps or at least an auxiliary pump are needed to really get up there in power.

Yeah, you’ll definitely be maxing out the low side for sure. Thankfully it’s not hard to adjust after the booster after fact (aside from contorting yourself into the trunk lol), so you can always start high and tweak it as needed afterwards.

Installing mine soon, is there anything in the tune that needs to be changed? I saw someone on youtube changed the alternator voltage tables...?
