They do very little for a modern chassis like the Camaro so I'm guessing it won't hurt anything.

My opinion, if you don't agree that's OK. No way I'm bolting a bunch of weight to the heaviest end of such a damn good car.

Strut Tower Brace

I have inquired about obtaining a brace for me 2016 2SS and the answer I received it that GM has not released them for after market sale YET. But here is the way around that answer: The 2016/17 CONVERTIBLES come with the strut tower brace already installed as well as two or three other additional braces UNDER the car to add the stiffness taken away from the car because there's no roof. So simply ask you Chevy dealer to order you a strut tower brace for a convertible and install it yourself when it comes in or you can have them do it.

Chevy claims that the coup SS doesn't need the brace because it is already stiff enough even for heavy track work but I say it CAN'T hurt to add it - you can never have too much stiffness.

Not released yet...yet I got mine a week ago and has been installed.

It's almost like my posts are invisible in this thread.

Sure, let me scan the instructions and then upload it here. Basically it's just re-using the 2 outer bolts and using the 2 new bolts in the inner position. I have no idea about bolt size though.

Your posts aren't invisible Blue, I see 'em. I put mine on mainly for aesthetic value, but the added rigidity is a bonus.

Yes, I did it for the same reasons. Plus the thing only weighs, what, 3 lbs. or so? It's all aluminium and is very light. Weight is negligible.

I'd be willing to wager it's less than 2lbs.
