What year ZL1 gets wireless CarPlay standard?

I tried googling and couldn’t find the answer, so I figured I’d ask here. With the ZL1 not having a good spot to put your phone, I think this is a pretty important thing for me. I know you can add wireless modules in the aftermarket, but I’ve seen these can be problematic.

I’m guessing it is 2019 and newer, but I wanted to confirm that here.

I believe it is 2021.

I have a 2019. It does not have wireless carplay/android auto

Grimlock, like others have stated it started in 2021 but you can buy the actual GM module like I did to convert it (albeit not cheap) and it's a pretty easy install from white automotive (WAMS) online. I think I paid 750.00 for it, and you swap it out under the dashboard.....it is pricey but their service is great and it's a direct swap....and my phone pairs perfectly every time.

Right on, thanks guys. And yeah my follow up question was going to be about upgrading the car with genuine GM parts to add wireless CarPlay and @clg82 has that covered.

Its a pain in the ass man. Its laggy and very buggy with my 21 and my iPhone 12 pro max. When you do anything that needs sound, the sound lags behind whats on the screen. I usually just plug it in after a bit because I get irritated with the map voice being off or changing music lagging bad. Its a very rough experience and personally I wouldnt spend a dime trying to transplant it in the car. Use the cable, its 10x better and no lag between sound and video.

Huh? I've never had any problems with either my iPhone 12 Pro Max, or my new Samsung Fold 3 and the replacement I did that was linked above...unplugged.

Same, wireless CarPlay has been fantastic for me so far. @SATINSTEEL1LE, maybe just a defective unit?

I know on my Focus RS I had to upgrade the head unit firmware a few times using a USB thumb drive. Is that a thing on the Camaro? Maybe that could help @SATINSTEELZL1
