If it is everything I hope it is when I get it and no major issues over the years I plan to keep it long term.

Kept my 2010 SS (bought SEP 2009) until two days ago. I was able to resist the 5th gen ZL1 based on the mods I had done. The new ZL1 was too great to pass up.

I'm keeping mine long term. I kept my first car that I purchased in 1984 all of these years. I agree that this car has a balance that the 5th Gen didn't seem to have. I love the increased technology in the Gen 6 and I plan to keep it until the wheels fall off.

I would have sold my ZL1 for the Z1LE if I thought it was a way better car. But since the majority of that car's 'betterness' is in set up and add-ons, I will enjoy the comfort of my current beast for a while and jump ship for the Z28 if it comes to fruition.

I plan on waiting until the mid-engine corvette depreciates to the 80s or less, so maybe 4 to 5 years. Until then, I will have plenty of fun learning the ability of this car.

Long term FTW. Of course there will be improvements, but that alone would not convince me. The useable power and handling for "street" are about tapped out in my opinion.

One caveat, I have seen a couple head turning concepts in the Buick using this platform/engine that are stunning in the looks dept. So that might be a reason to switch if it became a unique reality.

I have been following this car's development for so long already. I felt like I owned one way before the first one ever crossed the assembly line...

...I remember at SEMA standing in front of the Goodwill Festival of speed ZL1 demo car talking to 100's of people about it...with my deposit already in place for months, having the first allocation at my dealer...it's a great car...which I would never let go of in this lifetime. My 4 wheeled vehicle count is now officially 10 (two wheeled vehicle count is @7) and per my wife, we are officially out of space...which is my limiting factor...time for a bigger house, ...or a barn (lol)

50th Anniversary ZL1 Camaro 650/650 from the factory...awesome, just awesome. I specifically purchased an M6 also...one reason because I enjoy them, another because Manuals are a dying breed...Autos are no doubt the future thanks to what the GTR showed the world(dual clutch) and Porsche(PDK)...and GM/Ford (A10?)...and F1...only a few of the new high horsepowered cars have a full manual gearbox now. In a decade or two, I wonder how many kids will actually know what a Manual is. My neighbor's kid was looking for the push button start in one of my older vehicles and was shocked to learn that you actually needed to insert the key into the ignition (lol)...Manuals will be so rare in the near future..., I grabbed mine and I am keeping her

...now to start saving for the next one...don't tell my wife

I like that amigo...solid. Something about this car & being a fifty makes me feel the same.

I just hope I'm in a position to keep it & have the future means to acquire the new kid on the block that gets my blood flowing like this one. My goal in the next 10 years is to be liquid enough to accomplish. Time to start planning. I wanna be SoCal when I grow up.

Interesting...can you share any pics?? I have a soft spot for Buick only because of their Regal Grand national & wanted one so bad back in high school. A GNX would be a car I would like to have in the collection!!
