A lot of folks will say yes. I'm waiting on a guy here who has them on order to try it first. I went 18's on my last one and the Welds rubbed a little in the front. I'm going to try them on when I get the new car and see how it goes before I do anything. At least I'm pretty sure my backs will fit.

I'm running the Race Star 17x4.5 and 17x9.5's on the rear. I'm running hoosier 28's up front 28x10-17's in rear. Mine is lowered and wanted to keep the tires in the rear tucked. They worked awesome on my NA setup and should be fine with my SC setup also. I'll find out when I go to the track in a couple weeks.

Maybe this should be in the silly question thread, but .. would the 17x4.5 setup serve as a trunk donut that could be used on any corner in lieu of calling a tow truck? Just curious. Would be nice to know that on a long trip it would provide confidence of not being trapped in an unknown city waiting on an unknown dealer to acquire a tire before getting your car out of an unknown storage lot on a Saturday/Sunday/Monday layover and stay in some unknown hotel!

On the front too? I've got S76 in 18x8 and they don't fit on the old ZL1 without some rubbing.

Not a bad idea for those that want a spare. Might be a bit expensive going with Welds though..

This is irrelevant because you have a 1ss and this is a zl1 discussion.

That being said, had anyone put 17x4.5 race stars on a zl1 or 1le?

I think the guys from RPM were running 17s all around. Not sure if they're on the forum.

This is their ZL1

Yes they run a 17, and they offer/sell a brake conversion for the front to do that.

I just ordered some Weld RT-S S71s from CarlyleRacing.com. Yes the 17x10" 7.2 backspacing 44mm offset will work on a 2017 ZL1 with stock brakes. Andy from CarlyleRacing also said that only 20x7.5" will fit the front wheels. He's still not spot on about the backspacing on the Front wheels. He told me 4.2" backspacing but they don't even offer it in the 4.2Bs. There's a 4.3"BS. Anyways I have to wait till early December for them to even ship to me.
