Kenne bell 2.8 water cooled vs whipple
What supercharger would be best for 2010 l99 camaro ss. A kenne bell 2.8 water cooled supercharger or a whipple supercharger.it is for a daily driver looking to get 550 hp .currently have kooks headers and vmax throttle body for this build that I can use.pros and cons of both.

Nobody on here is going vote for the KB. They aren't Camaro5 approved. Are there better choices, probably. BUT, I have a 2.8 KB on my 2011 SS, it was on there when I bought it with 3200 miles on the car. Basically got the supercharger for free. I love it, runs like jack the bear!

I got a free one at 13k miles. I like my supercharger, just added a torq dual pass heat exchanger to help with heat and so far no issues.

I think the KB is a beautiful blower but from what I've heard make a ton of heat without mods to help keep it cool. I love my whipple and the way it performs.

Looks like KB has a new larger and better intercooler design on their kits now.

Whipple is the best roots style available when it comes to performance and reliability. TVS2300 is also great but a whipple will outperform. KB has proved nothing but trouble for the 5th gens. Sure there are several without issues but overall not a good setup when you have other options.

Whipple runs a lot cooler. Great blower and good power!

I would give the Magnason 2300 a look. Its a very reliable piece and can make plenty of power.I think most mistakingly think that 2.9 is certainly better than 2.3..I would put my 2300 up against ANY pd setup....If I can help you out let me know.
