CAI System Vs Borla Exhaust

:readthethreadI am looking at purchasing either a CAI Induction system or a Borla Exhaust depending on which one provides more bang for my bucks. Can someone help me out. Also can anyone tell me if it is you get more horsepower or torque by purchasing a complete Borla exhaust or a system that runs from the axle back. Thanks for your help.

I did the CAI first. I think you get more bang for the buck there.

If you want to do something more later to get more horsepower, then think about headers and a tune.

I am considering a CAI by Cold Air Inductions Systems over others. I have looked at old post here and it seems that this one gives has better numbers than others. Any comments from someone who has this one installed on your baby.

headers w/cats & xpipe will give you 30 more hp but cai or aftermarket mufflers dont. you can use the headers w/cats & xpipe with your stock mufflers. it makes a very noticable difference in performance. then later get the cai and a tune then youll be up 50 hp over stock. there is not much hp increase with a catback only like 2 hp. the restriction is in the stock exhaust manifolds and cats not the stock cat back, the stock mufflers actually flow good and will sound good with headers.

I Love them Both!!!

The CAI intake was easy to install, Looks Awesome, and IMO the car Likes IT!!!

We also just had the New Borla ATAK Exhaust installed!!!

You can't go wrong either way but it's like Peanut Butter and Jelly...
They Go Together Well!!!

Why not get both???

For what a couple of the Borla Catbacks cost, I can get you into a Catback and a CAI.

PM me sir!,

I have the CAI intake. Love it. It makes the car roar at throttle. It also seems to make the throttle response quicker.

Not yet. The shop finally got notice that my exhaust has shipped. They will have both the headers and exhaust next week. They are installing both at the same time. I hope to have them in by the end of next week.
