New-13 SS2/RS L99 & 87 GN

Joined today from the Pacific Northwest. I've owned the 87 GN since new but I recently purchased the 2013 SS2/RS. I am looking forward to sharing and learning. I do not know anything about the Camaro because I bought it from a dealer, who knew nothing about the car's history.

The car was pink and the lot had dropped the price at least 7 times in an attempt to sell the car. It was faded pink, I thought Mary Kay at first. I did know that it was an automatic V-8 and it claimed "SS" on the grill. My son told me that the car could not be pink, it must have a wrap. I asked the dealer to remove the rap. Underneath was a like new silver paint. When I got the car home I researched what I had. It was the SS alright but the 2 and RS model. I could not find any option that it did not have. Someone loaded the boat it seemed. I was happy to find what appeared to be the ugly duckling was indeed the swan. Remember that fable?

I took it to the track. 13.2 on two runs which matched the times of my GN. But I later learned about the F5 and F20 fuses and how low octane will set the car to run on low even if later high octane is used. We have 92 in Washington State. I reset the fuses and now want to see if I can better that 13.2 time. Thank you in advance for all of your good advices. Oh, I did learn the car came for the Long Beach area of Ca. The tint on the glass is black is black and hard to see out of at night time.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

My son Little Ricky has them. I am waiting for him to email them to me. This could take a number of reminders before I actually get them. Then I will post. Thanks.
