Any advice on a SLP tvs 2300 install?

Hi All: I bought a slp tvs 2300 for my 1le. Already have headers, cam, etc.....its in the signature. I was just wondering if there is any advice that you can give if you have done it already.....things to look out for.....gotchas......etc. Thanks in advance!

First, change your name lol.I would read the instructions a 100 times, the slp is one of the easier installs.I would recommend going colder on your plugs and take your time, make sure that your coolant hoses cant collapse when they get warm.ENJOY

LOL. Thanks for the advice. I have had this one forever. I installed a Paxton in my 87 gta trans am and then an atiprocharger. It stuck with me after that.

It is a very easy install. Biggest pain was mounting the coolent pump other then that everything else was smooth sailing. I really enjoyed putting mine on.

Yeah water pump is a pain. I mounted it from the top, I think others have gotten under the car (not sure).

Also, I zip tied the bottom of the low temp radiator to the stock radiator mounts. I would also recommend using hose clamps and ditching what comes in the kit for all hose connections.

Overall, it is a fun install. The passenger side header install was much worse, because of the hydraulic hood lift.

I ran out of fuel pressure at wot. I have the squash return style fuel system. I am just waiting to install it. I also have a 3.6 pulley that is ready to go on, until I need more power. After data logging I was/am pretty much hooked now.

I'm running the 3.4 and I'm ready for more too.

Saw that you already have an aftermarket cam installed.....since you're installing a blower....do you need to upgrade to a blower cam?

Has anyone installed this kit on a 1le and left the stock fuel pump and injectors on it? What were the results?
Also, what pulley/injectors would you suggest: why?

You can't do it with Stock injectors, no way. My kit came with bigger injectors. Here is my D.I.Y. thread with a few tips:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261550

Now, my kit came with everything including the tune for a bone stock car. You are talking about different injectors, you have headers, cam etc. Your only option is to get a custom tune via either email or a dyno tune done at a local shop. I'd go for the dyno tune as you have too many mods to make a best guess email tune I think.

You will love the SLP!!!

I slapped one on my bone stock SS 2 years ago. Only had a catback exhaust.

Had to upgrade injectors only!! Canned SLP Tune 502RWHP

2nd round of upgrades was last year. Added boost a pump, 1 7/8 headers, Bigger injectors, CAI intake, 3.4 pulley, No Cats. JRE Custom Tune 567RWHP

Thats how she sits now, Cam to be added soon.
