Hello,
I have my battery which let me down, I changed it, I drove a little and this morning, I open with the remote control, door locked, I see that the trunk is not closed, I close and try again, still stuck.
I operate the windows, they open, from inside I manage to open the door and I start the engine, I have the engine light on, passing by I notice that the indicators do not make a noise, but they work, no radio, it lights up on return, some radio functions do not work and no sound, the trunk no longer opens, neither by remote control nor from the inside.
The car does not close anymore, if I open it while I closed it with the remote control, the alarm works and the engine starts with the remote control.
I noticed 1cm of water in the trunk, water that I mopped up, could this have had an influence on the failures listed above?

Best regards

Yes, 1cm of water in the trunk is a definite clue, since the battery is located in the trunk. It is a reasonable possibility that water got into the trunk if the trunk lid was not fully shut, and it shorted the battery, creating those multiple electrical symptoms.

I changed the battery on Monday, I rode several days without problems and this morning the problems appeared.
The battery was not shorted, I rode until today.
I drive very little in three years, I have done 12000kms (7456.5 miles)
The water has not reached the modules!

If you let the trunk lid down but NOT fully closed, and it rained, the rain would get into the trunk and some water could thus get onto the battery or nearby electrical components. The fact that the trunk would not fully close is a clue that this is what happened.

I had left the trunk ajar to pass the extension cord to recharge the battery, the battery was already in bad shape.

I would suggest:

- Find and eliminate the cause of any water leakage into the trunk
- Do not leave the trunk lid open if the car is outdoors
- Check all fuses in the fuse panel located under the hood, and replace any that are blown
- Either recharge the batter (if it will still take a charge and pass a load test), or replace it with a new one

This is all I can offer.

There are posts in the engine bay that allow you to charge the battery. This might be a better option for you so you can close the trunk lid.

I replaced the battery and closed the trunk, I'm going to look in the fuse box tomorrow, today it's dark and it's raining
Thank you for your help !

Do you have a photo?

This morning it didn't want to open and tonight it doesn't want to close anymore!

Check the rear (trunk) fuse box under the floor cover, it's placed rather low and water ingress can short/burn a ton of relays and connectors there.

Underhood battery terminals are trivial to find, check the front fuse box, it has a positive terminal with a large red plastic cap; the negative terminal is in front of the fuse in the form of a lengthy nut and the text "NEG" embossed into the metal brace that holds the nut.

I was wondering if you had owned the car since it was new? I have seen vehicles that were involved in a collision or two that were no longer water tight in regards to just sitting out in the rain.

I realize it sounds most likely that your trunk lid was malfunctioning, but I thought some past body damage may be playing a role as well.

My car is new, it has never been in an accident, the water in the trunk is when I wanted to recharge the battery, believing that it had to be done directly on the battery, I left the trunk slightly open the thickness of a cable and I presume that was enough.

.
I mopped up the water before replacing the battery and what I find odd is if there had been a short circuit in the fuse box, the breakdowns should have been immediate and not several days later, I I drove in the meantime and it behaved normally, it was only on Saturday that I had the breakdowns.
