The extra holes are in front of the cats. They are for wide band O2 sensors, which let you monitor the air/fuel ratio. The one on the passenger side pipe would be used by a tuner on the dyno. It stays plugged otherwise. The one on the driver side would be used if you have an AFR gage. I used the PLX and DS trinity to monitor/log AFR. It can be plugged also if you're not worried about your AFR.

What were you able to do with the trinity besides data logging? I'm just curious if it comes with tunes for light mods like intakes and exhausts? Thanks a bunch :-)

I'm pretty sure you could make it work. You'd want to make sure the hp tuner has an analog input. What is your application? The PLX will need to be wired into the car to receive power (a piggy-back fuse is included). You will also likely need to run the O2 wiring through the firewall and make sure the wiring is zip tied away from the exhaust. So, it's a little more than just plug and go, but still very straight-forward.
