RPM 1,000hp 6th Gen Camaro Build | Pics & Video
Figured we would start a build thread for this car we are doing for a customer.
The original plan was to just do forged pistons in the stock LT1, but after talking with the customer and discussing his goals/plans for the car we knew we had to step it up a bit more. We gave a ring to our buddies at LME (Late Model Engine) and spec'd out a 416ci LT1. Complete with - Callies Magnum Series Stroker Crankshaft - Callies Ultra Billet 6.125" H-Beam Rods - Wiseco/LME Custom Forged Pistons w/Upgraded Heavy Wall - Clevite H Series Main Bearings - ARP LT1 Main Stud Kit - Balanced and Blueprinted We are also going to be doing - RPM Custom LT1 DOD Delete Camshaft Package - F1-A Procharger - American Racing 2" Long Tube Headers w/ 3" catless x-pipe - RPM Custom Low Side Fuel System w/ LT4 Fuel Pump and LT4 Fuel Injectors - ProMeth Methanol System - Monster LT1-S Triple Disc Clutch Tear down begins Out with the old The LME engine arrives We are going to be upgrading the valve springs, pushrods, etc, but using the stock heads. Cam is in. We will add pictures & video as we go Some updates will also be in our youtube web series so make sure to check it out. |

I'm sure it will be badass. Kinda odd thought that he's spending $$,$$$, yet still just going to use the factory heads. Either way, I look forward to the numbers.

If I am NA and pulling in air then intake manifolds and heads become a big part of making power. However if we pushing air in via the blower or turbo. Having heads and an intake become less of an issue... Thats not to say that having heads done wont yield HP but the HP vs $$$ ratio makes it a want to have & not a need to have for me. I may come back with heads and a Procharger intake manifold next year but I plan to just enjoy the car. Some roll races and highway play for me, along with cruising around making discharge noise LOL.

On the home stretch now!
The Procharger and Intercooler are on. Just have to finish up wiring the meth and fuel system. |

With that in mind there area plenty of 6th gen Camaros on stock drive shafts and axles. I have gone 1.4 60" on stock everything. They are fairly strong when taken care of (as with everything). Also on the head porting I agree completely. I don't remember where, but I read that our heads are 360+ cc and with the boost they will FLOW plenty.

what is being used for fuel? e85? MS109? C19?
This is going to be one BIG TIME roll monster... But I will say with that much power rolling on slicks or DRs (nothing else will handle this power) you're still compromising the drivetrain. I'd at least get a loop. Just in case. I'm barely pushing 630whp and my 2nd gear is nonexistant on nt555 g2s. I can roll into 2nd and still lose it at about 5k causing the shift to 3rd to be premature or cause some bog. I still reel any normal car in no problem...

LT4 pump/injectors fuel lobe on the cam and a low side pusher pump for 1000whp?
What am I missing here? I doesn't seem like it's likely to make that much power without a bigger hpfp/injectors *edit* - ah, meth system on top... got it.
