Thanks brutha, can't wait to see your setup soon
Thanks, we both did the same setup with Outlaws and Super 10's lol Haha I got ya.. I love the deepness and aggressiveness of the Super 10's. The drone isn't too bad and maybe it's because I have NPP that may dampen it a bit? Either way, if I don't want the loudness, Stealth/Tour mode it is |

Zero drone with Stealth/Tour and not that bad on 6th.. I'm on on 5th gear going 70mph which is over 2200 rpm there is little to no drone.
Drone is only on Sport/Track from 1900 - 2100 rpms. I may put a J-pipe to eliminate 90% of the drone on sport/track. EDIT: Put on 26" J-pipes, eliminated 80% of the drone for sport/track. Good enough for me.. Last edited by Richard0nee; 12-13-2016 at 02:03 PM. |

I think the OP was referencing me when he said that the muffler delete sounds good. I already have a custom 3" X-pipe exhaust on my car. I have the FM 10's like the OP as well. I mentioned that I'd like to go back before it warms back up and have the mufflers (FM 10's) cut off, I'll be running straight pipe. Oh and trust me, with 4 catalytic converters and a X-pipe it will still have plenty of back pressure.

Hey man I'm thinking of doing something similar to my car, but with outlaw mufflers. I'm thinking of using a y pipe to connect to the tips for a cleaner look. Since the outlaw muffler is single inlet, single outlet, I want to use the y pipe at the outlet so I can have the muffler guy do the piping to the tips. It's either the outlaw muffler or a 14 inch magnaflow muffler with a 3 inch inlet and two 2.5 inch outlets part #12198. I definitely want the exhaust on the loud side, I might even do the secondary cat delete. I really want that non raspy sound though, not a fan of the straight pipe camaros out there. What's the part # on your flowmasters? Is it 8430152? It would be cool to hear your car in person, I'm not too far from you, maybe we can meet up one of these weekends?

Yep, 8430152 is the part number I used. Total price with everything is $350 and $100 for the J-pipes. Best bang for your buck period if you like a deep rumbling tone. The muffler guy put on Outlaws as well and let me listened to it.. Could have gone either way as they're not too different from one another. Super 10's is just a bit deeper and Outlaws being slightly louder.
If you're not a fan of drone, get a 26" J-pipe installed (eliminated about 80% of it). Haven't heard the Magnaflow mufflers but their catback is boomy and a bit too artificial for my liking. Different strokes for different folks and the sound is def different from Flowmasters. I'll imagine if you delete your cats you'll have a loud and deep exhaust. Yeah for sure, you're welcome to head down my way to listen to it and if I'm in the LB area I'll hit you up. Outlaws here |
