Dirty bastards, this does mean war. BTW, they get wise to the sticky traps.
I had a mouse war once about 3 years ago, I'm gonna post a pic maybe but it was brutal and consisted of many battles, some lasted hours and there was ACTUAL hand to hand combat involved too. Some of the stories are so funny wish I had the patience to sit and write it all down, it would be too long.

Rat poison. On the garage floor. And a dish of water. The rat poison makes them thirsty as hell and you'll find them all dead at the dish of water instead of having them run into the walls or your car and die.

I know they are in the basement and probably the rest of the house. Not really what im worried about right now. What damage they can do is not my stuff. Selfish? Sure, but thats on the other people in the house. The garage is "mine" so I am going to start my war there. I may go behind enemy lines when I buy some more traps and/or poison.

Weird though Neumatic. I live down by Wichita and I've never seen such a thing. I have battled a chinchilla lookin rodent in my garden though. It ate every seedling that came up for months. I bashed it with a broom handle and ripped off its tail. Haven't seen it since! I'll pass some good karma your way for a fellow Kansan.

Hook 110 up to the mouse traps with alligator clips or something. Then at least you know they won't outsmart the trap. Probably will make the garage stink.

Don't do this! They use this at work and they die a day or later after they crawl into the walls or someother hiding place. There they die and a few days later they will start to stink real bad.

That happened to me years ago when I had an old Monte Carlo. I was keeping something in my garage that attracted them - pet food, etc. They did quite a bit of damage to the wiring. Ever since, I NEVER keep anything in the garage that would attract rats or mice, and I keep rat poison out constantly. Never had a problem since.

Do they leave out water? I've seen this and it works.

I had something make a nest under the hood of my Olds once. It was parked outside, not in the garage (in fact, right where it is sitting in the picture). It tore the heat insulation off the underside of the hood for the nest, and chewed through 2 plug wires to make room. Very annoying little vermin. I like to think it was still sleeping in between the broken ends of plug wire at the time I started it.
