For what it is worth, I ran across this; Bulletin #16-NA-369 earlier today.

It appears that this is a variant of the standard ZL1 for weight savings.

That feature is a life saver when you are having ppf installed and the power trunk actuator gets unplugged for easier access to the bolts to the spoiler and the trunk gets closed lol. They show a straight trim tool in the pic but one with a 45 degree angle on the end works best

closs2sx actually hooked me up with this bulletin, credit where credit is due.

Looks like there is great weather back east. How is the paint correction and PPF progressing?

No need for credit. Picked the car up today. It looks awesome. Put 84 miles on it today. I hit a few corners with it and once it takes a set it digs through the corner. Its way to quiet. It doesn't sound/feel fast until you look at the dash and see your speed because its so quiet compared to the Z06. (the fact that it has a rear seat keeps the rumble down). You are gonna love this thing. 84 miles of all kinds of roads with bumps bridge joints ect ect ect and not once did I think man this rides too rough.

I wonder if you could add what looks like missing parts and make it fold down like a regular ZL1? I've searched and couldn't find any relevant diagrams.

I had my rear seat out last weekend, it is really light. there is no support built into the seat - it is little a more than a cushion.

The seat back is very flimsy, it *is* reduced in weight, and they can get away with saying "fixed" by removing easy access to the fold down button.

Apparently it does, check out my video! Now I can fit my canopy in my car to take to the track, especially since the hot weather is well on its way!

I have a 2021 Convertable SS2 and I cant find a way to get my back rest off to put a seat cover on. I dont think I have the hidden latch you found, do you know how to get these off?

I believe the convertible cars do not have the ability to fold down the rear seats.

You'll need to find something that'll show you how to remove the seats with tools, not by folding it down like us coupe owners can do.
