Why, just why?

I know this has been said before, a pet peeve of mine.

My wife and I went out to dinner last night, like normal, I park in the north 40 of the lot, when we came out , this is what we saw...

Even the mustang guy behind me knows parking etiquette

Fortunately no door dings.

I ask this question almost daily. I also notice it when out in public at malls, airports, etc. People tend to walk right towards other people even when there is plenty of open space.

This behavior is one thing that drives me insane. Why??? WTF???

Zero explanation for it. Severe mental issues, no manners, or just a straight up @$$hole. Usually the latter. And when, not if, they ding your car... they act the part too.

the other day in a downtown Denver high-rise underground parking garage, I parked in a nice end spot and parked all the way over. I walk out to leave work and some POS is parked over the line on my side and had about 6 feet of space left on the other side of his car.

People are just a-holes.

nope, if the driver appreciated nice cars they would have parked elsewhere and walked over to take a look. in this case the driver saw that op intended to park his sweet ride away from everyone, but felt the need to try and instigate.

Maybe some people cant park unless there is a car next to them to guide them in between the lines? I was the first one at a car cruise one time and a Volvo sped going about 30 diagonal across all the lines to get about 1' near my fender. The parking lot was empty. No need to get that close.

1. Open the door and look at the lines on the ground.
2. Use the camera that most cars have now.
3. Get out, see if you are inside the lines, if not... get back in and try again.

This behavior is pure lazy, careless, and pure-@$$hole type.

Yep I think it’s just the norm now for people to do that! Since I bought my ZL1 last month it happens frequently when I drive and park it. I park in BFE and some asshat has to park next to or in front of me! I won’t understand it until the day I die but that’s the way it seems to be. No need to get pissed and run your blood pressure up just say a few cuss words and get in the car and drive away.

This is pretty much what I think happens. It's worst when it's rust bucket that parks next to you in the middle of nowhere.

Maybe he sees it and knows there is a guy who respects his car. If I park next to him that is one side of my vehicle I won’t have to worry about being hit and I’m sure no going to hit his either. So we both come out ahead. At least I hope that is what he is thinking.
