Say what you want, those were the real dates, I think it actually got to the dealer on Jan 14 or 15 (I took delivery on Jan 17), but it was over 2 months total... There was another 2SS ordered within a week of mine from the same dealer, we both took delivery on the same day (it is a guy on these forums as well), the cars were actually built on the same day, from what we can tell they were in line in the production line right behind one another...

How is it BS when he gave you an actual, verifiable data point? Or did you mean to simply express frustration with the length?
My order took 45 days to complete from start to finish, ie car at the dealership ready to be picked up, back in 2018 (see details in my signature), but it's probably not representative because of the current manufacturing and parts availability situation.

It’s possible that it could be 6 to 8 weeks to be delivered. Hopefully it won’t take that long. And agreed it’s not B.S that it can be that long to wait.

I wonder how long an order would take as well. I always thought it was about 45 days-60 days.

Before Covid that’s normal. Now I don’t know. I do know cars are slim pickings right now both new and used. I paid $30K for my fully loaded out 2SS with every option besides 1LE back before covid spiked and the closest one to me now was $38K with comparable miles and same year. No idea if the options are the same. SS’ are hard to find, I had to drive 5 hours.
My dad was going to order a new F-150 and they told him December or January. He ended up getting one off the lot. I can’t imagine camaro LT1’s are in huge demand. |

LOL, thinks building and delivering an entire car in 2 months is a long time, and then attacks complete strangers. Can't be a tool, tools have a purpose.

6 to 8 weeks is the usual estimate.
