Weekend drive with a Viper ACR

Had a remarkable weekend drive with a friend who owns a viper ACR. We went blasting through skyline and santa cruz mountains and CA 1- Here are a few pics.

The Camaro held its own pretty well. The viper is an absolute beast and I would have probably fainted due to heat exhaustion if I drove that all day. It gets louder and hotter if you CLOSE the windows. That's insane.

Also interesting was that the viper gets so much attention that for a change the Camaro seems like the normal car which no one notices.

Nice pics and I bet that was a lot of fun. I have always loved the Vipers, and most especially the ACRs. They are very raw cars, purpose built for sure. I may end up with one down the road if they don't become overpriced relics by the time my kids are grown

That's my fear of most NA muscle cars. We are quite possibly in the last generation of that kind of cars.
Highly doubt we are gonna see a NA v10 anytime after this.

If I could own any of the top American track cars, the ACR would be the one. Love it.

Hi Inramana....I saw you guys near panther beach. I was driving my friends white C300 and I saw the red viper in the opposite lane...I told my friends "look look a viper" and then saw the beautiful blue SS...I was like "that car looks really stunning".
What a coincidence to find you on this forum....

Great looking car!

Could be the last "Golden Age" for muscle cars. I certainly hope not, but time will tell. We'll all be sitting around telling our grandkids how much fun it was to drive around in cars with internal combustion engines, and they will think we're crazy. Or awesome. Or both.

Another interesting observation. The viper had better visibility. And I mean all around.

Does the ACR not have AC? Because if not, yes, it would be very toasty in there especially with the windows rolled up.

My Gen IV had AC so it was definitely comfortable. Not sure if the Gen V ACR has AC or not?

Prepare to be assaulted by the non-believers and Camaro faithful.

But I know what you mean. I do think the Camaro has slightly better rear view but it is negligible.

At the rate we're flying at with gas prices... We might all be driving Tesla-esk cars.
