The gods do not want me to have a 10 second car

Finally got back to the strip. What a bad night lol. I was literally 6th in line to go when someone blew up on the track. Took a full HOUR for them to clean it up. 2 cars go down, then a 9 second civic blows a hole in the block and leaves oil down the whole track. Another hour. I finally got ONE run in before I had to leave. Got a good burnout, dead hooked off the line, but did chirp and sway some between the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. All I want is a damn 10.9x slip haha.

Notes for next time though:
Longer burnout
Use less than a half tank of fuel
Pull rear seat maybe

Can't get much closer than that. I am hoping to see the 10s in a couple of weeks also. Just added the lt4 fueling and headers to the Whipple, going in for a tune on Tuesday. 11.17 with just the Whipple and canned tune from Whipple at 4,200 DA. The extra fuel and custom tune should get me into the 10s.

Huh, with my Maggie my first pass was 10.91@129.88 and the second pass was 10.82. Probably need a converter to get that launch into the 1.50's or lower and then you'll be in the 10.70's or 80's. Good luck and you'll get there.

I can’t be too upset with it. The car has more for sure. Just sucks that I was only able to get one run in. It’s just ironic that my goal is to just have a 10 second time slip on this car and one thousandth of a second would have done it haha.

Don't let things you cant control upset you; you have a fast car. The slip doesn't need to tell you that bro!

with the right air you'll have a 10.9* no big deal; run with a 1/4 tank

You must have quite a bit of Torque management in the trans tune yet. 127mph with a 1.62 60ft should be a 10.7 imo. Pray just had a bolt-on car run 11.1 @ 123 with a 1.6 60ft in 2500da yesterday. You have 4mph on that car yet only ET 1 tenth quicker on the same 60ft. Not knocking, just saying I bet you have a bit left in it with tuning. Either way it will go 10's.

Wow, I did not see this run, and when I went to ask you how it went, you seemed to be gone. Frustrating I know to miss your goal by a thousandth, but at least take some consolation that it's getting faster. The breakages and very long cleanups were a pain for sure.

Nothing more irritating than spending all day at track after driving 3 hours to get there just for some POS junkyard build to spill oil all over track and spoil everyone's fun

Sounds like NED for sure... Let me know when you are going next, Ill try and join. Want to see how my basic M6 car does . I wouldn't mind letting you take my slicks and skinnies for a spin.
