I'm going to say that there is probably some of you that have a vacuum leak in your system. Like I said. I see no loss of vacuum in mine. I know you said my cam was small but it is still quite a bit larger than stock and should show a significant loss of vacuum but it doesnt and like I said, my NPP can still actuate when the car is off indicating that there is still residual vacuum in the system.

When I had the TSP 4.2 my brakes worked like stock. 19.5* overlap is what it had. Don't remember how many inches of vacuum.

I was researching on a possible blower for my next big upgrade on Hammdo's build thread and came across this:

More LSA. I'm @ 112 now, this one is 120 so more vacuum for the brake booster and better idle. .639 and .631 with the SS1. New one is .610 .585. Not a huge difference but more sc friendly...

I just drove it on the highway again tonight and the SS1 is awesome. Cold start is good, but low vacuum on the booster means you need to wait before moving. Warm it up first! Won't have that issue with the BTR spec VVT...

-Don.

Maybe this is just normal for the SS1 cam?

It's just weird because once the engine is warm and at normal idle I have no issues, aside from the convertor push. It is only when its idling over 1k rpm at cold start. If I try and jump in cold start and go somewhere, I'm not stopping. I rarely do that anyway, but still it makes me nervous of the potential for issues in traffic.
Weird and maybe like you said you have an issue elsewhere. I noticed zero change in my brakes after my cam and its a pretty large cam. Cold or warm, brakes feel the same

I have a boost/vac gauge installed, so next time I run it, I'll look at the readings

Cool. Nice find man, thanks. Since I have been paying much closer attention to it it really does only seem to be an issue on cold start - Which I can deal with honestly, as I never just get in the car and start ripping.

Yeah same here. I've had the cam in since June 2019 and it's always been like that on a cold start, but like you said I never just hop in and take off. Only reason I even discovered it is because I started it one day and was just moving it out of the drive way to back out my other car and that's when I noticed it. 2 minutes later it was back to normal. I can live with that.
