ProCharger on V6
Anyone here have a Stage 1 ProCharger on their V6 6spd? Wondering how the trans and diff is holding up with 400rwp?

Man, you read my mind. I'm here to read similar input. I wanna get the edlebrock eforce and the trans is my #1 concern.

Yeah, I read that the Tremec 3160 has max torque 405 lbs. I was also wondering about the Rear Limited Slip and driveshaft. But I think they are the same as the SS.

I have the 10 speed. Atleast you know your limits idk what mine is capable. But I'm not looking to go wild I'd be thrilled with <380whp. I don't see the driveshaft itself being a problem. But I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to get one that is more sturdy.

The GT350 runs the 3160, and it's rated at ~530 hp / ~430 ft-lb (at the crank). Are they using special hardened internals? If not, I think the 3160 should have no problem handling a LGX with centrifugal supercharger at reasonable boost levels.

It looks like Tracy Lewis in Tampa is selling the lgx pro chargers from what I see on the overkill site. I got his occ system about 4 months, installing it today. In the past 1.5 years I have had I have had oil drain through my air filter and out the bottom of the box several times. The occ should keep the intake clean. I put one on my focus st years ago. I may post pics if anybody is interested.

Stage 1 max boost is 7lbs. They claim no mods needed at that level of boost. |

Yes it's not that difficult. I have had the Tracy Lewis occ for 4-5 months, finished the install today.I watched his video on youtube many times. The one-way valves on the valve covers you pop out have 3 little ends that hold them in.Two broke off on one of them and one a one on the other . So 3 little pieces of plastic fell in the motor. I don't think it will be a problem. You have to drill the one way valves out of them. Other than that it went well.I think it will be good for the motor. I now have a good port to put crc valve cleaner in. I may use crc one more time. I had some oil in the intake as usual, glad to put a end to that. I will start a thread with pics soon.

Not the same at all. The GT has a much better cutch plate and flywheel combo and it has cooling. Our version of the 3160 is total garbage. The clutch slips easy with added HP and TQ and doesn't have the cooling function. When the clutch slips, It puts the car into a "limp-mode" that is actually dangerous IMO. You are going to have to upgrade to an aftermarket clutch from Clutch Masters or CLUTCH along with their lighter, compatible flywheels.
