I love the sound of the Touring Non Resonated w/ Performance link pipes. Will long tube headers connect right to the PLP? Or would you have to remove and use brand header pipes?

Would you have to weld the pipes together?

LTHs typically remove the secondary catalysts as is, my friend.

The LTHs will mate to our exhaust if they're designed to mates to the factory exhaust.

Quick question: What's the difference with these 3 axle-back options:

Touring Exhaust
Touring Exhaust Resonated
Touring Exhaust Non-Resonated

Thanks..

There are only two axleback options: Touring Edition and Track Edition.

Non-res and Resonated are catback options.

Gotcha. So, from a guy who's not afraid to admit that he knows nothing about the exhaust world, can you put in layman's terms what "Resonated" versus "Non Resonated" means regarding the install, sound, performance, cost, etc.? Much appreciated brother...

Be safe

Sure!

We offer the resonated variant for those who are either A) running aftermarket headers or B) like their exhausts on the smoother side. The resonated midsections purely take some the edge off the exhaust note in the higher end of the rev band.

Our recommendation for those looking for a best drone-free experience would be the Non-Resonated Touring Edition for factory headers, and Resonated Touring Edition for aftermarket headers.

Thanks Josh!! That definitely spells it out...

One last question as I'm trying to decide between Axle back versus Cat Back, based on your installs, is there a considerable difference in sound quality between the AB versus CB systems (deeper growl, louder, etc.)? I'm a guy that has a completely stock exhaust system right now, but wants that deeper/throatier sound without the annoying drone if possible. I've heard a lot of good things about the "touring" systems that you offer and that's the direction for me, for sure. I personally don't want that "super loud" exhaust. I know I'll be losing the NPP functions. But, meh....

Thanks again...

The soundtrack from the catbacks are smoother when compared to the axlebacks, and that is due to the AWE X-pipe being in place over the factory X-pipe. Ours enable much more refinement. I think the Resonated Touring Edition Catback would be your dose of steel. It's no slouch by any means, but is very, very smooth. Zero drone.

If you wanted to get a bit more aggressive later in life, you can always convert it to non-res. Simple swap!

Okay. But earlier you suggested "non-resonated" systems for those that have stock headers. That's what I have and no intentions of changing. I just want to make sure I didn't misinterpret.

Thanks..

Yes, that is our in-house favorite, and recommendation.

I only suggested resonated for you, as the previous description lead me to believe you wanted "maximum" refinement. By all means, go with non-res! You will love it.

I’ve got the resonated, Touring, AWE catback with quad tips. It seriously sounds amazing. Even strangers at the drag strip made it a point to track me down to see what I was running! And don’t worry, it’s still *plenty* loud.
