Valentine 1

So I recently moved to a county/city that seems to have a LEO with a speed detection device for every 5 people that live here lol.

So this is not a detector debate but for those that might use a V1 how and where did you wire into the power supply?

I used a Gen5 DIY mirror tap.....nice and clean, works great. (Think it was about $45?). It is a plug-n-play in-line setup.

Plus get a Blendmount mirror mount. They may also sell the tap-in. This is a solid, OEM-looking device.

I mounted mine high up as you are supposed to and routed wires to the left towards driver side and back up to the port.

Gen5 DIY harness and Blendmount.

If you plan to connect the V1 to your phone (recommended) get the harness for the V1 and dongle. https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/...uetooth-dongle

Used this tap from amazon for my Uniden R3.
Worked perfect and looks super clean and OEM:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is a video somewhere of where and how to tap into.

Way cheaper and (IMHO) just as good
