Man we are in the Midwest and we don't have any tracks open. Are you launching off idle or bringing it up on the converter when you leave. My car has always left best flat footing it right off idle. You need to get that 60 ft into the low 1.50s.

I leave off idle. seems to work best. Need to get the tcm unlocked. I get a split second of throttle closure at launch. Tq limits need to be raised in the tcm.

Another update.... So while installing my Stainless Works headers and exhaust back in January, I noticed a section of pipe after the X-pipe that was resonated but the OD was still 3". It looks like this:
Because of the smaller diameter inside, I felt it may be a slight restriction. So last week I decided to cut it out. I AM NOT BASHING STAINLESS WORKS IN ANY WAY! I actually love their products, just didn't like that particular piece. This is what it looks like after being cut open. You can order the system without that resonated section but it will be LOUD! Since I dont want my neighbors to hate me more than they already do, i installed these: With those new straight through resonators, the sound is about the same as it was with the original resonator. On to the performance part! It may or may not have done anything but I did get a new boost only personal best: Thought that 140 was a fluke so, I added a degree and went back around: Pretty happy with those times. Next was a nitrous pass. I might finally have some video footage. Sometimes Im at the track alone, and when my friends go, they are racing also so its hard to get video. My goal for this year was a 9.69. Only a tenth off but thats it for the track up here. Over the winter I'm finally going to get the TCM unlocked and tune this tranny. Definitely sticking with the stock blower and 90% sure I'll be doing heads and a cam. Next years goal is 9.70 boost only and .30 on the bottle. |

We're expecting baby number 6. If we weren't, this would be my favorite thread (and to-do list). But instead, this is my most hated thread.

Well I started the cam install yesterday. Its a little rough for me being my first time but its not hard, just alot of things that need to be removed. I got the heads off but didnt have the 27 to remove the arp crank bolt so ended the day there. Anyone have tips on how to move the radiator/condenser/heat exchanger?
