My dealer has been wonderful to work with! Took mine in yesterday and they were able to duplicate it. They are waiting for GM to communicate back on next steps. Gave me a loaner to drive until its solved. I'll post an update once the dealer hears back from GM.

I got the car back yesterday - they changed the diff fluid "3 times" and tested it to make sure its gone.
It was super hot by 8 am in LA today so I couldn't tell if it did it again.. Time will tell. |

Noise is back , now it's doing it even when it cools down for a couple of hours, low speeds mostly turning left and now sometimes turning right, it almost feels like something rubbing when it happens. its going back to the dealer when I get a chance.

I had a Solstice when it was new. Same rubbing noise. It definitely needs a new rear differential

They replaced my differential late spring or so and all was good, no noise, until we just recently had some cold mornings. Driving away from a stop when first leaving the house, still totally cold, it groans a little. Ugh.

I've flushed mine now a total of 2 times myself, and the dealership once. Luckely the dealership and I are excellent terms and they are aware of the issues. (they told me that its happening to vettes to.) so this morning I called and explained to them whats going on. They are calling GM to see what they can do by just ordering me a diff...
^^but to answer your question^^ I agree that this should be some sort of recall. and not a TSB. while I understand the motive on doing the cheapest route first IE: flushes, that essentially isn't the end result fix.

made a appointment to have the fluid replace to try and avoid a issue the car has 2700 miles on it the service writer was very snotty with me saying that they need to duplicate the problem before they can do anything. when I told him that I want them to change it he said sir I will be making a note that I don't recommend it getting changed and that if you have a problem down the road it may not be covered. I can see a pissing match tomorrow.

I just got my car back from the dealership yesterday. They had a hard time duplicating the rear end noise. I do not know why because it happens to me every day when I leave my house. They were finally able to duplicate it once backing up after it set outside. I never hear it backing up before. Once they heard it they contacted technical support about it. Technical support said it was normal for the clutches in the rear end to stick when the car is first moved due to the friction modifier in the gear oil being cold. I told the service advisor that I did not believe that because then you would hear it on every Camaro and as far as I know that is not happening. They did check the fluid and it was full and was in good condition. Looks like I will just have to wait for it to get worse.
