Performance Accessories Question??

Now that we know and see the performance intake and exhaust, the real question is what they will do for the car? The obvious is that there is a greater percentage air flow and less back pressure but will that equate to more HPs or only to throttle response and other little things. I question this because the NPP has no gain other than noise. Don't get me wrong those are all great gains but I am mainly wondering if there will be a HP gain?

Hp gains, yes, but small ones. In the real world (not some manufacturers "numbers") I would say expect about 7-10 hp from the intake (if they recalibrate the tune, which I think I read they will) and basically nothing from the exhaust, maybe 1 or 2 hp. That is more about sound...

Exactly like summut white said, also without a real tune with those, don't expect anything to gain anything. It'll be more airflow and all sure but without a tune you won't be maximizing the power gained.

And we can't get it tuned without voiding the warranty, right? Does chevy do a tune, since they warrant the parts?

As I said in my above post, I think I read that the intake comes with a new calibration...

GM CAI will require a tune at the dealer to be 50 state legal....
