Minor rant regarding aftermarket support

Sometimes I think I would have more luck finding parts for a Lamborghini than for this Camaro at an auto parts store, be it brick and mortar or online. My air conditioner belt disintegrated on a 1/4 mile pass in Mexico the other day. No major auto parts stores offer an aftermarket part. My dealer did not have this part, nor did any other dealer in the state!
I ordered a factory part from Amazon; comparable price as gmpartsdirect and others but free shipping. Got an email from ups stating the package was delivered to my front door at 10 am yesterday. I'm sure that S.O.B. is on someone's front porch, but it ain't on mine! Guess I'll have to wait another week.
I had a similar experience with water pump gaskets: No one makes them. All the major auto parts stores list them, but the parts are for LS motors. Apparently the aftermarket doesn't know there is a difference.
I'm done now. I have a three day weekend with the wife out of town. Planning to take a day trip to the Dragon. I think I'm going to go anyway, I'll just be sweating my ass off!

That sucks. I thought it would be easier in the states.

Imagine getting parts in Europe. Sometimes I'm lucky and I can get a part within 2 weeks. I have an older Lexus LS430, and those are quite rare here as well, so I have to order parts for both cars overseas. But then again, they're "exotics" here, haha.
