If you're worried about your neighbors stealing your gas... you should probably consider moving.

The bigger issue is vandalism and people putting something in your tank.

On my BMWs, the fuel door locks when the car doors are locked. I've always just kind of assumed these are the same way.

I have been searching for one. I even contacted Stant about a locking cap. They said they get lots of requests for them, but they don't make them yet

All you need is a jealous neighbor or some jackhole in a random parking lot to stick something in your tank. The fear is real and it does happen. I'd much rather have a locking fuel door than nothing at all.

There has to be a solenoid available. The real question is if the wiring harness is installed with a connector there. If not thats a big deal. You may also need to program the BCM. My camaro is parked in a locked garage.

Plus it’s a million dollar neighborhood with expensive cars but I guess some egos get bruised by the camaro being faster and driven by a young handsome man lol. I don’t get why euro camaro s have it but they couldn’t for america. Very dissappointing but not as disappointing as not being able to trust people to tamper with stuff that is not there own |
